Barrington Brewery & Restaurant

A true local institution, Barrington Brewery has been serving house-brewed beer and scratch-made food since 1995. Located right in Great Barrington, it’s one of the most convenient (and satisfying) stops on your brewery tour.

Their beers lean toward classic styles—think approachable ales, seasonal lagers, and rotating specialties—paired with a full menu of comfort-driven dishes. They’ve also long been committed to sustainability, including early adoption of solar energy and repurposing spent grain for local agriculture.

Berkshire Brewing Company

Founded in 1994 in nearby South Deerfield, Berkshire Brewing Company (often known locally as “BBC”) is one of the region’s most well-known craft breweries. Their unfiltered, unpasteurized beers are distributed widely across New England and have built a loyal following over decades.

Note: While the brewery itself is not in Great Barrington and has limited on-site visitor access, their beers are easy to find throughout the Berkshires—in restaurants, bars, and package stores—making them a staple of the local beer scene.

Bright Ideas Brewing

Located in North Adams within MASS MoCA, Bright Ideas Brewing offers a lively, creative take on craft beer. Their rotating tap list features everything from crisp pale ales to experimental sours and small-batch releases.
